Label Readers

workshop

Just because you can’t pronounce an ingredient that is included in your lotions doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a bad thing.  Case in point …Butyrospermum Parkii.  Sounds scary, doesn’t it?  It’s the formal name for Shea Butter, an ingredient extremely beneficial for your skin.  How about Tocopherol?  Sound like a chemical?  It’s not, it’s Vitamin E.  Ascorbic Acid, that certainly can’t be good for your skin.  Wrong again.  Ascorbic Acid is Vitamin C.

So just because you can’t pronounce an ingredient on a label doesn’t mean it’s not good for you.  Educate yourself (of which you doing are by reading this!) and become familiar with ingredients and their formal names.  Since your skin absorbs up to 94% of what’s put on it (and processes through your body, into your liver), you should know what what you are putting on it.

Conversely, if you see the word Paraben on a label …walk away.  Parabens = Bad.  For more on Parabens and other toxins, visit out website.

Hampton’s Style
Posted on October 9th, 2009 at 9:26 AM by Supernatural Botanicals

hamptons decorFriday Feature:  Hampton’s Style.  One word…Gorgeous.  Two words… Ridiculously Gorgeous!  Let’s discuss: Hampton’s style.  This beach house look is clean and minimalistic.  The use of black and creamy white are perfect in contrast.  Framed pictures (matching mats and black frames are key) add wonderful contrast to the painted bead board walls.  The black iron chandelier is so minimalistic, yet beautiful.  The best part about this design is that it’s so achievable.  Keep your focus with creamy white walls, matching frames in black of varying sizes, and a substantial, yet simple, chandelier to bring this look together.  If you stick with a theme, such as this Hampton’s style decor, it’s easy to design a room like a professional.

Have you tried all natural skincare products only to find they stink?  They literally stink…as in they smell horrible!  For instance, a popular guy up north makes his products from bees (beeswax.)  Beeswax is an excellent all-natural product that protects the skin, and Supernatural Botanicals is a huge advocate of beeswax in our skincare products (our body butters contain beeswax.)  But just because you want to use all natural products doesn’t mean you have to go around smelling like carrots or tomatoes as the bee-keeper up north would have us do.

You can have the best of both worlds…you can choose all natural products and have them infused with delicious-smelling all natural pure essential oil scents such as Grapefruit, Orange, Pomegranate, Mango, and Coconut.  We promote all natural and aromatherapy at the same time.  There’s no need to shy away from all natural ingredients…because they can be formulated to smell delicious.  For all natural skincare that smells as good as its ingredients are, shop Supernatural Botanicals.  After all, who really wants to walk around smelling like tomatoes and carrots?  Combine the best of ingredients and aromatherapy for a better all natural experience.

Working out in bare feet for exercises such as Yoga and Pilates takes a toll on your feet, causing rough dry spots on your heels and toe pads.  If you want baby soft feet, you must try Supernatural Botanicals Body Butters!  These body butters are truly skin transforming.  The non-greasy formula makes it a perfect foot primer before a hard workout or before you slip your feet into socks.

The results are instantaneous!  You’ll watch your skin transform the first time you use the body butter.  Made with all-natural ingredients, no chemicals, no parabens, no artificial colorants or fragrances.  Supernatural Botanicals Body Butters are made with pure ingredients, such as cocoa butter and beeswax, and are bursting with delicious essential oil scents in Island Coconut, Pure Mango, Pure Orange, and Pure Grapefruit.

Avoid “Yoga Foot” and start protecting those feet.  Check out Supernatural Botanicals entire line of Body Butters for happier, sexier feet!
