Growing tired of mainstream bath & body retailers marketing their tired scents to the teenage set?  We were too!  That’s why we’ve created products that appeal to grown-ups.  Grown, sexy women!  We don’t use bubble-gum flavorings and cheap fillers to make our products.  We use ingredients such as pure essential oils, pure cocoa butters, vitamins, and high quality beeswaxes.  We created spa-quality vegetable-based sugar scrubs that keep their texture, and don’t separate like other brands that leave three inches of oil floating on top of a sugar base.  We’ve create scents that appeal to grown ups.  We take pride in making products that are good for your skin.  Come experience a brand that will cater to you and your skin’s specific needs.  We say no more mass marketing.  If you are a grown sexy woman, you are our demographic…and we’ll never forget that.  We make our products for you!  Visit our website and explore our products.  www.SupernaturalBotanicals.com

Label Readers

Just because you can’t pronounce an ingredient that is included in your lotions doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a bad thing.  Case in point …Butyrospermum Parkii.  Sounds scary, doesn’t it?  It’s the formal name for Shea Butter, an ingredient extremely beneficial for your skin.  How about Tocopherol?  Sound like a chemical?  It’s not, it’s Vitamin E.  Ascorbic Acid, that certainly can’t be good for your skin.  Wrong again.  Ascorbic Acid is Vitamin C.

So just because you can’t pronounce an ingredient on a label doesn’t mean it’s not good for you.  Educate yourself (of which you doing are by reading this!) and become familiar with ingredients and their formal names.  Since your skin absorbs up to 94% of what’s put on it (and processes through your body, into your liver), you should know what what you are putting on it.

Conversely, if you see the word Paraben on a label …walk away.  Parabens = Bad.  For more on Parabens and other toxins, visit out website.

Having shiny skin by lunchtime?  Oil levels spike at 11 a.m. every day, explains Laura Goodman, a senior scientist for Proctor & Gamble in Cincinnati.  Shine may be worse if you’re in your 30s, when “oil-pumping hormones peak.”  Pre-makeup, apply a clay mask or mix a dollop with your face wash, says Jessica Liebeskind, a New York City makeup artist, to control the mid-day shines.

Have you tried all natural skincare products only to find they stink?  They literally stink…as in they smell horrible!  For instance, a popular guy up north makes his products from bees (beeswax.)  Beeswax is an excellent all-natural product that protects the skin, and Supernatural Botanicals is a huge advocate of beeswax in our skincare products (our body butters contain beeswax.)  But just because you want to use all natural products doesn’t mean you have to go around smelling like carrots or tomatoes as the bee-keeper up north would have us do.

You can have the best of both worlds…you can choose all natural products and have them infused with delicious-smelling all natural pure essential oil scents such as Grapefruit, Orange, Pomegranate, Mango, and Coconut.  We promote all natural and aromatherapy at the same time.  There’s no need to shy away from all natural ingredients…because they can be formulated to smell delicious.  For all natural skincare that smells as good as its ingredients are, shop Supernatural Botanicals.  After all, who really wants to walk around smelling like tomatoes and carrots?  Combine the best of ingredients and aromatherapy for a better all natural experience.

Facial Toner

Chamomile tea, brewed and cooled, is a perfect toner for normal to dry skin.  It closes the pores, and makes skin look fresher.  Brewed and cooled Lavender tea is great for sensitive skin and Peppermint or Spearmint tea works best for oily complexions.

Splash over face after using a mild cleanser, followed by a moisturizer for your skin type.

To tighten facial skin and make pores practically disappear, try this at home spa treatment.  Beat egg whites (either by hand with a whisk, or use a stand mixer…preferable) until they become ultra white and frothy.

Apply the foam to your entire face, and let dry completely.  Gently rinse, and pat dry.  It makes your skin look younger and healthier.
