Sneak Peek at our new Mama Collection

Here’s a sneak peek at one of our two new skincare lines, the Mama Collection, for expectant mommies.  The collection contains bath salts & foot soak, body and belly butter, body and belly oil, face and body spritzer, and all natural powder.  The packaging is gorgeous.  And it’s even great for non-expectant mommies, too!  This collection will be available at www.SupernaturalBotanicals.comin the next day.  Stay tuned for our Supernatural Baby Collection next….it’s adorable. 

Organic Baby

Punky Brewster, aka, Soleil Moon Frye had a baby and then became obsessed with giving that baby the very best in the very purest form.  You know the story…if you have a child, you can relate.  But Soleil did something about it.  Soleil, along with Paige Goldberg-Tolmach, created The Little Seed. 

The Little Seed is a children’s specialty boutique carrying eco-friendly and organic products and is located in the hip, urban enclave of Larchmont Village in Los Angeles. 

The store stocks sustainable versions of everything baby needs, from clothing and body care to toys and gifts, and now the products will be available to moms who live outside L.A. through a partnership between the store owners and Target.  The brightly colored clothes, booties, hats, and blankets, which are made of 100% organic cotton, will be introduced in stores this Sunday.

Bethenny Frankel on Working Out

Bethenny Frankel has been looking fabulous…even pregnant.  I can promise you, that’s not easy to achieve.  The 39-year-old, who is having her first child late in life, says she has always been obsessed with her body image.

“Since I was 8, I was obsessed with every single diet ever because I came from a very toxic, dysfunctional household with a complete emphasis and obsession with food and being fat,” says Frankel.

“It was absurd and moronic to be an adult and to be worried about dieting.”

Bethenny says she wrote her best-selling diet book “Naturally Thin” last year and finished her second book, The Skinnygirl Dish, filmed and made her her first exercise DVD this year.

Frankel says she works out up to three times a week doing Pilates, yoga and/or running.  But the compulsive exerciser says she has learned to embrace moderation in exercise, with better results.

“I’m 10 years older [now] but 10 to 15 lbs. lighter [than I was in my 20s],” she says. “I used to work out obsessively five to six times a week. Now, I work out maybe two or three times.”

Read Shampoo Labels

Read your shampoo labels.  Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) can result in eye damage, irritations, and skin rashes.  SLS can penetrate children’s eyes and prevent them from developing properly.  It may also cause cataracts in adults.  You’ll be shocked to learn this dangerous ingredient is in many store-bought shampoos …including traditional baby shampoos that allege they are mild.  (Go ready your shampoo label now.)  Read those labels, make better choices, buy wisely, go green.

Supernatural Botanicals Body Butter

Gifts For A Spa Baby

My sister is having a couples shower for her son and his wife…..my first great niece is on her way!  If I have anything to do with it, she’s going to be a spa baby!   We’ll start her right from the beginning with quality skincare products.  I made her some Debbie Chialtas-inspired all natural baby soaps, shaped like Popsicles.  They turned out great.  I formulated the soap to be gentle, and they have great scents like baby powder, cherry, and orange.  Supernatural Baby Soap for Super Natural Babies….love the sound of that.  There are 24 individual soaps in this basket.  This can easily be made for a boy, using blues, greens, yellows, etc.   These are currently not in our skincare line, but if you are interested in a Supernatural Baby basket or product, email me personally at Robin@SupernaturalBotanicals.com and I’ll be sure to help you create a beautiful and super natural ultra-stylish gift.
